The Role

The seasonal school photographer will travel to various schools to conduct school photo day sessions. The photographer will be required to photograph both children and adults. The successful candidate must be motivated, enthusiastic about photography, and customer service oriented.

What You Will Focus On

• Photograph a variety of subjects, both children and adults, individually or in groups
• Set up and break down professional photography equipment
• Coordinate the photo session day at the school to ensure efficiency
• Address requests from school administrators, teachers, and students
• Training to become a professional photographer will be provided
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Photography experience is preferred but not required
• Strong customer focus and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities
• Experience working with children is an asset
• Experience in retail and customer service is an asset
• Reliable vehicle with the ability to carry professional photographic equipment; valid driver’s license and insurance required
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check due to working with children
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Anticipated Hours Of Work

• Monday to Friday, 35-40 hours per week during peak season in fall and winter

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to push up to 80 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Stand, walk, and bend repeatedly for extended periods
• Travel within the specified region
• Work in a school environment from Kindergarten to High School
