Job summary

Saint Elizabeth in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a Full-Time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join a dedicated team at John McGivney School. You will assess clients, develop care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a school setting.

This role requires a current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a valid CPR certificate, with availability to work day shifts (8:30–4:30).

Qualifications

  • Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • A willingness to attain SE Health certifications.
  • Current CPR certificate required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive client assessments, develop care plans, implement and evaluate care based on best evidence and client needs.
  • When designated as primary provider for a client caseload, be the point of care lead and collaborate with the care team.
  • Support the client through care transitions by connecting with community support services.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete comprehensive client assessments, develop care plans, implement and evaluate care based on best evidence/practices and on client’s unique needs
  • When designated as a primary provider for a client caseload, you will be the point of care lead accountable for their care while working in collaboration with other care team members and the support functions.
  • Support the client through care transitions by collaborating and connecting the client with community support services in their local community.
Requirements:
  • Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Availability to work days (8:30-4:30PM).
  • Updated immunization records, clear criminal background check, and Vulnerable sector check are required upon hire.
  • A willingness to attain required SE Health certifications
  • A current CPR certificate is required.
  • This is a physically demanding position and requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling/squatting, reaching chest and waist level (i.e. shoulder flexion), and numerous hand grips of varying forces.
