Under the supervision of the Manager of Enforcement and Construction, the incumbent is responsible for safely escorting pedestrians, as defined in the Highway Traffic Act, at designated school crossings. This includes monitoring traffic flow, asserting the right of way, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
This position plays a vital role in promoting pedestrian safety and supporting the community by ensuring that children and other pedestrians can cross safely in high-traffic areas.
According to the part-time employee pay scale: $17.73 to $22.24 per hour.
