Job summary

Szamra Group is seeking reliable and detail-oriented School Cleaners to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming school environments. This casual on-call position offers assignments as needed based on staffing requirements. You will clean classrooms, common areas, washrooms, and other school facilities following established cleaning and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience required.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Previous experience working in a school or institutional environment.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, offices, staff rooms, gyms, and washrooms.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas.
• Empty garbage and recycling bins.
• Replenish soap, paper towels, tissue, and other hygiene supplies.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces according to health and safety standards.
• Maintain clean entrances and common areas.
• Follow school safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and responsibly.
• Perform additional custodial duties as assigned.
