Job summary

Szamra Group is seeking reliable and detail-oriented School Cleaners to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming school environments for students, staff, and visitors. This opportunity is based in Canada and offers casual on-call assignments to support school operations as needed.

As a cleaner, you will work independently to clean classrooms, common areas, washrooms, offices, gyms, and other facilities, following established cleaning and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Previous experience in a school or institutional environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, offices, washrooms
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
• Empty garbage and recycling bins
• Replenish soap, paper towels, tissue, and other hygiene supplies
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces according to health and safety standards
• Maintain clean entrances and common areas
• Follow school safety procedures and cleaning protocols
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and responsibly
• Perform additional custodial duties as assigned

Role Requirements

• Valid Police Clearance Check (required before placement)
• Safety shoes required
• Reliable transportation is considered an asset due to varying work locations and shifts
