Job Title: Caretaker

The Headteacher and Governors of St Michael Catholic Primary and Nursery School are seeking a motivated and committed Caretaker. You will be responsible for Health & Safety throughout the school and managing external contractors, including cleaning and grounds maintenance.

Your duties will include ensuring the school is fully functional, maintaining a safe and secure environment, and contributing to site services. Key responsibilities include:

1. Carrying out or supervising site maintenance such as painting, decorating, general repairs, and cleaning.
2. Managing site security, lighting, and grounds maintenance.
3. Conducting health and safety checks to ensure compliance with legislation.
4. Working to strict deadlines and budgets.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a caretaker or premises assistant, an understanding and empathy for children, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, motivation, and ICT literacy.
