Job summary

Richmond School District is seeking a permanent, full-time bus driver to transport students within the district's 47 school facilities and on field trips. This unionized split-shift position offers a 30-hour work week at CAD 29.25 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including Municipal Pension, health, dental, vacation, and sick leave.

The role requires a BC Class 2 driver’s license with air brake endorsement, at least 1 year of bus operation experience, and a safe driving history.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Class 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year passenger bus operation experience.
• Clean driving record as per Motor Vehicle branch.
• Knowledge of school bus maintenance and repair basics.
• Friendly, courteous, and effective with passengers.
• Excellent knowledge of Greater Vancouver area and traffic patterns.

Responsibilities

• Transport students within the district's 47 schools.
• Conduct field trips as required.
• Maintain safety and report bus maintenance issues.
