Job summary

First Student Saskatoon is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers to start the day with morning pickup and end with the afternoon drop-off. You will transport students safely, supervise boarding, help with seatbelts, and maintain order on the bus while delivering reliable service to families.

No previous experience is required as comprehensive training is provided. We offer a $2000 new hire bonus for endorsed drivers and an $800 pay bonus to complete training, plus a host of benefits, training

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class 5 license with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• No prior driving experience required; training provided to help you become a safe school bus driver.
• Able to pass background check and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.

As a Part Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of students. You will start students' days with morning pickup before school and transport them safely back home in the afternoon. Additional hours for field trips and special event transportation may be available.
