Job summary

First Student is now hiring part-time School Bus Drivers in Aylmer, ON. As a driver you will start mornings with pickups and transport students safely home in the afternoon, with no nights or weekends. Training provided to help you succeed and become a trusted member of our transportation team.

You will earn $21.55 per hour with guaranteed minimum hours and opportunities for field trips, events, and career advancement across 540 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Qualifications

• No experience required; expert training provided.
• Valid G-driver’s license for at least 1 year.
• Part-time schedule with summers off.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills.
