Salary: $40,483.00/year - $44,981.00/year

What qualifications are we looking for?

At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following:

  1. Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting procedures and office administration.
  2. Competent computer skills including Word and Excel and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  3. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  4. Able to multi-task and demonstrate strong time-management skills.
  5. Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificated within the last 12 months from an approved AB OHS provider. Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John's Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol.
  6. Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search.
  7. Three professional references.
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  1. Selling facility spaces for school bookings, facilitating booking processes (market/sell, accept bookings, communications, invoicing and collections).
  2. Assist with the review and establishment of rental rates, conflict resolution and special events criteria.
  3. Liaise with schools and internal stakeholders.
  4. Use conflict resolution and problem-solving skills with user groups, space, times, facility usage, etc.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service by utilizing strong communication and troubleshooting skills to manage all customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  6. The ability to communicate and sell YMCA services, focusing on facility bookings.
  7. A thorough understanding of various aspects of business including strong knowledge of the facility layout, program offerings, public and all other event schedules, and emergency procedure.
