YMCA of Greater Vancouver seeks a part-time staff member for inclusive before and after school programs for children ages 5–12. You will create a welcoming environment where every child can thrive and support their development through engaging activities.
The role includes active supervision, guiding children's interactions, and maintaining a safe space. Ideal candidates should have experience with children, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting diverse needs.
Term: Permanent, part -time
Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 6:00pm
*Sites are open on Pro D days and there is potential to work during breaks
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $23.14 per hour

We’re seeking a compassionate and collaborative individual to support our inclusive before and after school program for children ages 5–12. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team to create a welcoming environment where every child—regardless of their needs—can thrive.
You will design and actively participate in activities, provide individualized support as needed, help children navigate conflicts, and model positive behaviours. You’ll also contribute to care plans, support each child’s unique strengths, maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios, and ensure a safe, inclusive space where every child feels valued and supported.
