Job summary

YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka in Collingwood is hiring a part-time Registered Early Childhood Educator to support children in our Admiral and Cameron Street YMCA programs. You will foster learning through play, ensure safety, and build strong relationships with families.

Responsibilities include personal care, supervision, and planning activities in an inclusive environment. CECE registration or active enrollment, plus a Vulnerable Sector Check and up-to-date immunizations are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification or completion within 90 days.
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Immunizations up to date per local health guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to children including toileting and diapering, first aid, and monitoring health conditions.
• Supervise a group of up to 15 children with safety and engagement.
• Plan and implement play-based learning per YMCA Curriculum.
• Communicate professionally with families, staff and volunteers.
• Create an inclusive environment supporting diverse needs.
• Adhere to schedules and maintain ratios; adjust as needed.
• Demonstrate YMCA values and professional behavior.
