We are looking for experienced School Age Care Workers to join our Wentworth Campus (JK – Grade 5). This position will work within the school age program and facilitate activities for children ages JK to Grade 5. The ideal candidates will be passionate and committed educators who can contribute to the many facets of school life. It is a temporary contract from September 2, 2025, to June 12, 2026, with the possibility of continuation. This position reports directly to the Director of External Programs.

Available shifts include:

1. Junior Kindergarten Room (20 hrs/week):

• Monday to Friday 12:45-4:45 p.m.
• Early Childhood Education required
• Eligible for benefits

Junior Kindergarten Room (13.75 hrs/week):

• Monday to Friday 1:45-4:30 p.m.
• Early Childhood Education required

Kindergarten Room (15 hrs/week):

• Monday to Friday 2:15-5:15 p.m.

Responsibilities include:

• Following licensing regulations and the School Age Care Handbook
• Interacting directly with children and staff
• Assisting with planning and setting up the program to offer a variety of activities
• Establishing and maintaining positive communication with parents
• Maintaining a neat, orderly, and clean environment
• Ensuring safety and supervision standards are met according to licensing and Collingwood requirements
• Releasing children only to authorized persons
• Maintaining confidentiality regarding school, children, families, and staff information
• Maintaining regular attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
• Ensuring drills (fire, earthquake, wildlife sightings) are up to date

Basic ECE requirements:

• A valid First Aid certificate (Standard First Aid preferred)
• A valid Early Childhood Education Diploma/Certificate for the JK position
• Accountability, maturity, and high responsibility
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
• Courses in working with children are assets
