An established industry player is seeking a Scheduling Assistant to join their dynamic team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is crucial to ensuring effective staff allocation and scheduling, supporting various operational needs such as emergencies and planned absences. The Scheduling Assistant is a team member working in a time-sensitive and deadline-driven environment, allocating and scheduling staff in accordance with the unit operational requirements, policies, and procedures. Under the direction of the Staffing Services Manager and the individual department manager, the Scheduling Assistant will book coverage for advance needs, project work, emergencies, workload increases (such as ambulance escorts, patient watch), and short-term/long-term leaves. Support the creation of master schedules, review requests, timecards processing, pay reconciliations, and investigation of scheduling incidents. The Scheduling Assistant will work closely with their portfolio managers to ensure staffing initiatives are completed. Various duties will also include data entry, filing, and documentation of all calls regarding absence due to sickness or other reasons.
