Type: Temporary Full-time

Shifts: 8-hour shifts; days, evenings, and occasional weekends (may be subject to change)

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Program Director, Surgical Services and Maternal Child, the Scheduler will be responsible for preparing and monitoring staffing schedules for Alliance nursing unit staff, including Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Personal Support Workers, and Unit Clerks.

Manager, Patient Flow & Scheduling

Start Date

As soon as possible

Salary

$28.38 to $30.08 per hour

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma required
• Community college business or administrative assistant course, or equivalent experience, required

Experience

• Scheduling staff experience is an asset
• Hospital setting experience is an asset
• Meditech experience is an asset
• Computerized scheduling software experience is an asset

Abilities

• Excellent knowledge of Collective Agreements, preferably HPHA ONA and CUPE contracts
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and scheduling software
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and handle changing priorities
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Demonstrate initiative and good judgment
• Problem-solving skills and impartiality
• Meet deadlines and organize workload effectively
• Professional interaction with staff and leaders
