The Opportunity:
The Scheduler is responsible for booking shifts, managing day-to-day business operations, and providing reports on an ad-hoc basis as requested. This role aims to continuously improve current services to enhance the customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule staff for care departments to ensure all shifts are filled according to business needs.
- Prepare daily assignment sheets for departments.
- Provide general front desk coverage duties.
- Record attendance and collect documentation supporting requests for shift exchanges, vacation, sick leave, or other leaves.
- Manage sick time, and maintain time & attendance records in Kronos.
- Assist with Unit Clerk duties for relief coverage.
- Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies for the nursing department.
- Provide administrative support to the leadership team as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in a scheduling or similar role (preferred).
- Certificate or diploma in Office Administration or related field.
- Experience with Kronos is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations.
- Interpersonal skills with a warm, caring, and approachable demeanor.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Wage levelling rate may vary based on experience and site-specific considerations.
Wage Leveling Salary: $24.34 per hour
