Right at Home Canada Fraser Valley is part of an international family of over 700 Care Offices worldwide. We offer a comprehensive range of non-medical and medical care, products, and services to older and disabled adults who wish to live independently in their homes.

We are seeking a part-time/casual Scheduler/Care Coordinator for our Abbotsford office. This position is up to 15 hours per week.

The Scheduler/Care Coordinator manages incoming inquiries, staff onboarding, scheduling, and maintains staff and client documentation. We value passionate individuals who take initiative, view challenges as opportunities, and follow through diligently.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to and document incoming referrals and inquiries using inquiry software.
  • Maintain all client and staff documentation and communication in the scheduling software.
  • Notify clients and staff about schedules and updates.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to all calls from clients and staff.
  • Coordinate daily staff activities based on client needs and staff skills.
  • Assist with onboarding new staff and ensure they receive all necessary information.
  • Track and report staff leave requests.
  • Schedule caregiver orientations and training sessions.
  • Assist with billing processes, including downloading and reconciling hours.
  • Perform other office duties as required.
  • Provide care as a Care Provider during staffing emergencies, if qualified (HCA).

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized program such as HCA, PSW, or MOA; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • At least two years of experience in home care, healthcare, or senior services is an asset.
  • Proficiency with computers, software (Alayacare/Inflowcare), and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficient in both verbal and written English.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism and attention to detail are essential.
