Job description

Role Overview

SyBridge Technologies is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Scheduler to support mold manufacturing operations while upholding the Mission, Vision, and Values of the SyBridge Technologies Group of Companies. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Scheduler develops, maintains, and communicates production schedules across the full mold manufacturing process – from design and engineering through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed production schedules for plastic injection mold manufacturing projects.
  • Plan and sequence work through key manufacturing stages, including design, engineering release, material procurement, rough machining, semi‑finish machining, finish machining, gun drilling, EDM, benching, assembly, spotting, tryout, corrections, and shipment.
  • Review project timelines, customer delivery dates, manufacturing capacity, labor availability, material readiness, and machine requirements when developing schedules.
  • Coordinate scheduling priorities across machining, EDM, gun drilling, grinding, welding, polishing, benching, assembly, and tryout departments.
  • Work closely with program management, engineering, production leadership, purchasing, quality, and subcontractors to confirm project requirements and milestone dates.
  • Monitor mold progress against planned schedules and follow up with department leaders regarding delays, incomplete work, quality concerns, or changing priorities.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks, capacity limitations, resource conflicts, and delivery risks before they affect project timelines.
  • Adjust schedules as required based on engineering changes, customer revisions, material delays, machine downtime, staffing levels, quality issues, tryout results, or other operational conditions.
  • Communicate schedule changes, priority shifts, critical‑path concerns, and delivery risks to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and provide clear updates regarding mold status, departmental workloads, upcoming priorities, and at‑risk milestones.
  • Review work orders, mold designs, bills of material, manufacturing routings, program schedules, and technical documentation to confirm scope, sequencing, and timing requirements.
  • Ensure project schedules and manufacturing progress are accurately maintained within the company’s ERP, scheduling, or production management systems.
  • Track key project and scheduling metrics, including schedule adherence, departmental performance, machine capacity, project milestone completion, and on‑time delivery.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and materials teams to confirm mold bases, steel, components, hot runner systems, purchased items, and subcontracted services are available when required.
  • Support capacity planning by reviewing current and upcoming workloads across departments, machines, and skilled trades.
  • Work with production leaders to balance workloads and determine the most effective allocation of employees, machines, and external resources.
  • Coordinate subcontracted machining, heat treatment, coating, texturing, polishing, welding, and other external processes to align with internal production schedules.
  • Monitor tryout dates, correction work, customer approvals, and final shipment requirements to ensure downstream activities remain aligned.
  • Identify scheduling inefficiencies and recommend improvements to production flow, departmental handoffs, resource allocation, and project visibility.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records, production reports, milestone trackers, and supporting documentation.
  • Escalate significant scheduling conflicts, capacity limitations, missed milestones, and customer delivery risks to the appropriate manager.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to mold flow, lead‑time reduction, schedule accuracy, capacity utilization, and on‑time delivery.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • College diploma, certification, skilled‑trades background, or equivalent experience in mold manufacturing, production planning, operations, engineering, machining, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, program coordination, or project scheduling within a mold, tool and die, machining, or custom manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of plastic injection mold manufacturing processes and the sequence of work required to complete a mold build.
  • Knowledge of mold components, mold bases, cores, cavities, lifters, slides, inserts, electrodes, hot runner systems, and related tooling is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining, gun drilling, EDM, grinding, welding, polishing, benching, assembly, spotting, and mold tryout processes.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing routings, bills of material, work orders, engineering drawings, mold designs, and project schedules.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, production scheduling, or manufacturing management systems.
  • Strong understanding of capacity planning, resource allocation, critical‑path scheduling, and production dependencies.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple mold programs, competing priorities, and tight customer deadlines.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to production delays and changing project requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with production teams, program managers, engineering, purchasing, quality, and other internal customers.
  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, drawing, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with scheduling software are considered assets.
  • Successful applicants will be required to complete a background check.
