SyBridge Technologies in Windsor, ON is seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join our growing manufacturing team. The role covers all aspects of the mold build process from planning and assembly through final inspection and mold tryout, with emphasis on craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement.

You will work on high-precision tooling for industry-leading customers, collaborating with experienced tooling professionals in a dynamic, full-time role at our Delduca Plant in Windsor.

Qualifications

• Ten years of mold making experience preferred.
• Red Seal certification is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of mold construction, assembly, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Experience safely operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Build, fit, assemble, and repair injection molds from start to finish.
• Perform final inspections, complete work documentation, and maintain material traceability.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Identify tooling concerns and communicate improvements to the team.
• Safely operate overhead cranes to transport molds and components (up to 50,000 lbs).
• Safely operate forklifts to move molds (up to 5,000 lbs).
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project status between shifts.

What You’ll Do

As a Mold Maker, you'll be responsible for all aspects of the mold build process, from planning and assembly through final inspection and mold tryout.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Build, fit, assemble, and repair injection molds from start to finish
• Perform final inspections, complete work documentation, and maintain material traceability
• Fit and assemble mold components, including cooling and heating circuits, ejector systems, runner systems, and spotting press operations
• Spot, troubleshoot, and validate molds to ensure proper function and performance
• Perform in‑process and final inspections using precision measuring tools and specialized inspection equipment
• Develop and execute detailed mold build plans, including layout, calculations, templates, tooling aids, and verification of mold components
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Identify tooling concerns and communicate issues or improvement opportunities to the appropriate team members
• Safely operate overhead cranes to transport molds and mold components (up to 50,000 lbs.)
• Safely operate forklifts to move molds and prepare them for tryouts (up to 5,000 lbs.)
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project status between shifts

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ten (10) years of related experience as a mold maker, preferred
• Red Seal certification is considered an asset
• Strong understanding of mold construction, assembly, repair, and troubleshooting
• Experience safely operating overhead cranes and forklifts
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and work in a manufacturing environment
• Comfortable working around varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and other manufacturing conditions
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment as required
