Job summary

Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is seeking a Part-Time Scheduler (Clerical 7) for WRHN @ Chicopee. You will build and maintain staff schedules across programs, collaborating with Clinical Management to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications include a post-secondary diploma, data entry proficiency, and healthcare scheduling experience. Kronos (WFM) familiarity is preferred; the role demands attention to detail and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Community College Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Experience and proficiency using computer software is mandatory.
  • Minimum 1 year recent comparable experience building and modifying schedules in a complex environment, preferably in Health Care.
  • Previous working knowledge of collective agreements is preferred.
  • Efficient data entry skills required.
  • Effective communication, organizational, time management, collaboration and problem solving skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Clinical Management to understand staffing baseline requirements and build/modify schedules.
  • Review and input shift trades; manage vacation requests in scheduling software.
  • Apply union/collective agreement language where needed.
  • Ensure schedules reflect actual time worked and update accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cost effectivness.
  • Support projects as needed and help maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Location: WRHN @ Chicopee (formerly Grand River Hospital, Freeport Campus)

Position Summary :

Schedulers play an important role in working with the Clinical Management team to build employees’ schedules for each program at WRHN in order to provide exceptional care to WRHN patients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborates with the Clinical Management team to understand staffing baseline requirements in order to build, modify and maintain employees’ schedules, review and input shift trades and manage vacation requests in WFM (Scheduling software)
  • Appropriate application of WRHN and unions’ collective agreement language
  • Accurately updates schedules to reflect employee’s actual time worked
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Participates in and supports projects as needed
  • Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
Position Requirements:
