Position Overview
As part of the CMLU Program Controls Team, the Scheduler's primary responsibility is to establish and maintain detailed schedules for aircraft production and other areas within the CMLU Program. This includes providing schedule status, resource loading requirements, and analyzing performance data to develop reports on progress and budget status.
What You Will Do
- Maintain and monitor progress against the Program Master Schedule and highlight deficiencies.
- Develop detailed aircraft production and program workstream schedules using MS Project Server.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Production Supervision, Planners, and Material personnel to develop project sequencing and dependencies.
- Manage schedules proactively to ensure correct sequence, milestones, resource allocation, task duration, and dependencies.
- Assist in developing schedule recovery plans and modeling ‘what if’ scenarios.
- Evaluate schedule constraints and propose corrective actions.
- Provide weekly aircraft progress updates focusing on % Complete.
- Support program reporting, data interpretation, risk assessment, and schedule impact analysis.
- Monitor costs against program progress.
- Highlight critical items and develop work-around plans as needed.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as required.
What You Will Bring
- Post-secondary education focused on data analysis, manufacturing, project management, or related fields; experience considered.
- B. Eng. or Industrial Engineering Technologist diploma considered an asset.
- Registered PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) is an asset.
- Knowledge of MS Project or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and creativity in work style.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Experience in a production environment preferred.
- Knowledge of performance reporting.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, J.D. Edwards, and SharePoint is an asset.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Participation in Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 5S activities.
- Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Program, ITAR, and Canadian Security Clearances.
