Job summary

Farm Boy is seeking an Inventory Control role for our Central Kitchen facility in Ottawa. The position supports day-to-day operations, ensuring quality service to staff, customers and suppliers, while aligning with the Farm Boy Way.

You will help maintain department activity, verify product quality and portion sizes, ensure proper labeling, and uphold sanitation, safety, and policy compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Reporting to Inventory Control Manager, this roleis responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Central Kitchen facility. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees, customers and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.

Work & Sensory Environment:

• Required to wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment during shift.
• Lack of control over pace due to multiple and/or tight deadlines beyond one’s control.
• Ability to work in a cool environment for prolonged periods (4 to 6 degrees Celsius).
• Exposure to workplace hazards including the potential of icy floors, spills and equipment malfunctions.
• Required to lift, carry and/or handle heavy objects.
• Required to stand for extended periods of time while performing production work.
• Repetitive bending and twisting movements are required.
