Job description

  • No experience?$22/hrto start.
  • Fully trained with accreditation & Class 3 License?$33/hr.

Overtime Pay:

  • 1.5xafter 8 hours and on Saturdays.
  • 2xon Sundays and holidays.
  • Monday to Friday, Days with varying start times and end times

Job Types:Full-time, Permanent, On-site position.

Location:Etobicoke Area; travelling throughout Ontario (must be able to start at the Etobicoke office when needed)

Qualifications:

  • Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays most weeks.
  • Willingness to learn about scales and industry-specific practices.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working in harsh environments.
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs.
  • Valid G driver’s licensewith a clean abstract. (Class 3 Driver’s License is a huge asset)

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience in electromechanics, mechanical or electrical repair.
  • Background in scale repair/calibration.
  • Experience in physically demanding role
  • Familiarity with technology for troubleshooting and reporting.
  • Trade license or accreditation.
  • French language skills are an asset.

Duties:

  • Install and maintain scales at customer sites.
  • Advise customers on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair scale equipment.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Perform field corrections as needed.
  • Adhere to high safety standards.
  • Document work through service reports and calibration certificates.
  • Participate in required training sessions.
