Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a scale house operator or in a strong customer service setting.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with scale software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Availability to work Monday-Sunday, 7:00am-6:00pm/7:00am-4:00pm on weekends.

  • Operating the scale system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing metal materials.
  • Recording weights and relevant information in the computer system or on paper records.
  • Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, weights, material types, and customer information.
  • Verifying the identification and documentation of drivers, carriers, and vehicles while issuing receipts, and processing payments accurately.
  • Providing general administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining filing systems.

Job Description

We are seeking aScale Clerkto join our team fromMonday through Sunday, 5 days a week including 2 weekends per month. Your work schedule will be provided to you a month in advance.

As a Scale Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately documenting weights and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
