Overview

Tomlinson Environmental Services is seeking a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment to work as a Scale Operator at our Carp location. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate vehicle weighing ticketing and customer service contributing directly to the success of our operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver courteous and professional service to customers and team members on-site and by phone.
  • Operate the scale and tracking system to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles.
  • Maintain precise records, ensure ticket data integrity, and process payments (cash, debit, credit).
  • Provide pricing information to residential customers over the phone.
  • Monitor site access and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Communicate with the onsite team to direct traffic and ensure efficient operations.
  • Generate transaction reports, reconcile payment records, and prepare operational and customer reports.
  • Collaborate with our Customer Service department.
  • Take on other duties as assigned to support site operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
  • Office-style setting with independent responsibilities.
  • Regular interaction with customers and resolution of inquiries or complaints.
  • Weekend and statutory holiday availability required.
Education and Experience
  • Strong computer literacy and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
