Wood is recruiting for Journeyperson Scaffolders – Adhoc (Casual /Temporary) to join its Operations team focusing on the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This opportunity is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, working on an as needed, call-out basis.
As a Journeyperson Scaffolder, you will plan, erect, build, maintain and repair temporary work structures and platforms to provide workers with safe and secure access to the job face. You will also be constructing, fabricating, erecting and repairing permanent and temporary structures on the worksite by using power tools, rigging equipment, and hand tools. This role will be responsible for planning and executing scaffolding activities in accordance with drawings and specifications, while working at heights, as well as noisy conditions which may be indoors or outdoors, and at extreme temperatures.
Location: Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador
Site / Office based: Hibernia Platform
Hours of work: 12 hours per day
Rotation / work pattern: Call out, as needed
Required: Site-specific medical, drug and alcohol testing
Unionized position: Rates follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement
