Job description

ACSI is seeking Scaffolder Apprentice & Journeypersons who will be responsible for assembling, dismantling, and maintaining scaffolding structures, ensuring safe and secure access which is integral to our projects' success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Check requirements from drawings and written instructions, select materials and set ground levels.
  2. Assemble and fit together steel pipes, support braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds.
  3. Lift and position sections of scaffolding and bolt pipes together to build up scaffolding equipment.
  4. Place planks over horizontal bars to create platforms.
  5. Check levels in scaffolding structures to ensure safety.
  6. Use prefabricated scaffolding when available.
  7. Dismantle scaffolding at the completion of a job.
  8. Journeyperson will mentor apprentices respectfully and oversee their safety.

Requirements and Experience

  1. Proof of hours (minimum 1,600) or accepted Journeyperson ticket.
  2. CSTS-20 Certificate.
  3. Fall Protection – In Class.
  4. Confined Space – In Class.
  5. Experience as a Scaffolder in an industrial construction environment.
  6. Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  7. Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
  8. Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
  9. Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies.

Project : Giant Mine WTP

Rate : $28.02 to $46.69 per hour

Overtime : A per collective agreement

Schedule : 14x7

Camp : Yes

Allowances : $60 / day LOA and travel allowances provided based on proof of residency.
