Job summary

ANDRITZ Canada, a world leader in hydroelectric turbines and generators, seeks an automation technician for power plant projects and system modernization. You will design, program and commission control solutions, applying PLCs and SCADA software.

Join a multidisciplinary team on large-scale projects. The role involves on-site commissioning, technical writing, and collaboration with clients, with bilingual French/English communication expected. A hybrid work mode is available.

Qualifications

• Diploma required in automation, instrumentation & control.
• 5 years PLC and industrial network experience.
• Fluent in French and English.
• On-site commissioning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of the control systems.
• Design new electrical plans and modify existing ones.
• Perform PLC programming.
• Perform SCADA programming and operator interfaces.
• Participate in tests with the client.
• Supervise installation, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning on site.
• Write technical manuals for maintenance team and operators.
