Job summary
Northwest Territories Power Corporation (NTPC) seeks an OT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize SCADA-based supervisory systems for reliable operations in Yellowknife, NT. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support OT security, and drive innovative data strategies across field and IT interfaces.
The role requires a Bachelors in electrical engineering with 5+ years in OT systems, and eligibility for NAPEG.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years in OT supervisory systems.
- Experience with OT design, SCADA hosting and plant-level HMI/automation software.
- Eligibility for professional engineering registration in NAPEG (or EIT) in the NWT.
Responsibilities
- Administer OT Systems, SCADA hosting, plant HMIs, Gateways, and IED integration.
- Maintain and enhance system availability, integrity, security, and functionality.
- Collaborate with design engineers and IT on network architecture and data exchange.
- Lead commissioning and ongoing maintenance with field teams.
- Ensure safety and compliance with NTPC programs and regulations.
- Produce technical records, drawings, and reports.
