Job summary

Raise is recruiting a permanent, full-time SCADA Engineer or Analyst in Calgary, Alberta, for a client operating the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. The role focuses on real-time EMS data, supporting the Operations Systems Data Management team, and ensuring reliable grid operations.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in power or utility environments, hands-on SCADA experience, familiarity with DNP3/ICCP, and a background in electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in a relevant electrical utility or Power Systems discipline.
• Experience supporting SCADA systems with telecommunications knowledge.
• Knowledge of power system network modeling is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, test, implement, document and maintain real-time control systems.
• Optimize SCADA control and monitoring applications for project requirements.
• Support connections to grid transmission and generation projects and develop power system models.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for EMS data and incident management.
• Support CIP/NERC compliance and collaborate with IT for incident handling.
