Job summary

City of Vancouver is seeking a Project Manager to lead OT/SCADA and IoT initiatives within Engineering Services. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams with a focus on planning, execution, risk management, and timely, quality project outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or CS with 4+ years in project management and PMI-style training. Competitive salary and regular full‑time employment with a December 2026 start date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum 4 years related experience in project management, engineering, technology implementation or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Training in Project Management methodologies, practices and processes preferably consistent with those provided by PMI (Project Management Institute)

Responsibilities

• Supports development, monitoring and management of project work plans (scope, budget, schedule, quality, risk, resources).
• Prepares and maintains reports on project performance including schedule, scope, invoicing, and change control.
• Implements Project Management Framework standards, guides, processes and templates.
• Leads or supports procurement of technical consulting services, including scope of work, proposals, contract administration and vendor management.
• Coordinates testing, commissioning, acceptance and transition of OT/SCADA systems into operations.
• Works with staff to resolve complex technical, design, or interpersonal issues.
