An innovative company in the renewable energy sector is looking for a SCADA & Control Specialist to support the development and management of its fleet of distributed energy assets. This key position places you at the center of technological innovation in an agile, fast-growing environment.

Your role

Under the supervision of the Chief Engineer - Controls, you will be at the heart of the development of our remote-control systems (SCADA), contributing directly to the performance, safety and reliability of our facilities worldwide.

• Design, develop and implement a brand new SCADA system for monitoring and controlling our wind turbine fleet.
• Program PLCs for various wind turbine subsystems.
• Ensure functional safety and robustness of telemetry and control systems.
• Maintain the availability and quality of data collected remotely (analysis, validation, security).
• Design test benches for the development and validation of control algorithms.
• Develop advanced functionalities: automated alarms, predictive maintenance, real-time energy optimization.
• Collaborate with deployment, support and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transfer to operations.
• Document systems and track software and hardware versions.

Skills and qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation, computer science or electronics.
• 3 to 5 years' experience in SCADA systems development, automation or control.
• Mastery of programmable logic controllers (PLC), industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, Ethernet/IP).
• Solid knowledge of servo-controls, databases, HMI.
• Experience in software development (languages such as C, C++, C#, Python - an asset).
• Autonomy, rigor, practical sense, ability to innovate.
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Must travel occasionally in Canada, the United States and Europe (10 to 15%).
