Job summary

IPEX is seeking a Saw Operator for our Mississauga production team on a 3-month contract. You will set up and operate cutting saws to accurately cut pipe according to customer and production specifications.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will perform quality inspections, manage regrind materials, and support 5S housekeeping while following safety policies and procedures. This on-site role runs a 12-hour Continental Day shift.

  • Manage regrind materials, including proper sorting and control procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and support 5S initiatives within the work area.
  • Complete production and administrative documentation as required.
  • Follow all company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Support other production functions and departmental activities as assigned by the supervisor.

This role plays an important part in ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and workplace safety.

Job Summary

Working Conditions

This position is based primarily in a manufacturing environment and requires a significant amount of physical activity throughout the shift. The incumbent will spend most of their time standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, and handling materials and finished products. The role involves working around production equipment, including cutting saws and other machinery, while maintaining strict adherence to established safety procedures. Employees may be exposed to conditions commonly found in a manufacturing setting, including noise, dust, heat, moving equipment, and sharp cutting tools. The position requires sustained attention to quality, safety, and operational processes while managing changing production priorities and workflow demands. A commitment to housekeeping, 5S practices, and compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies is essential for success in this role.
