Exit 153 Restaurant is seeking a skilled and passionate Saucier to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the quality and presentation of our dishes through the preparation and execution of sauces, reductions, and accompaniments. Reporting to the Head Chef, the ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute a wide variety of sauces, reductions, and accompaniments central to the presentation and flavor of our menu items.
  • Cook and plate complete meals or individual dishes, with an emphasis on sauces and garnishes.
  • Create and refine hot and cold sauces, stocks, and reductions to complement entrées and daily features.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menu items and daily specials that showcase sauce pairings.
  • Monitor sauce consistency, seasoning, and presentation standards throughout service.
  • Maintain accurate records of food inventory, kitchen supplies, and equipment maintenance.
  • Uphold food safety and kitchen cleanliness protocols as part of daily operations.
  • Support the overall kitchen team with prep work and service as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Saucier, Line Cook, or similar culinary role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong understanding of sauce preparation techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredient pairings.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
