Job summary

YMCA of the National Capital Region is seeking a Child, Youth & Family (CYF) Instructor to deliver a high-energy dance class for children, teens, and families. The role involves teaching jazz, ballet, and hip hop in a Saturday program and coordinating with CYF coordinators to provide quality recreational experiences.

The successful candidate will have dance knowledge, experience with youth programs, and a commitment to YMCA values.

Qualifications

• Dance knowledge and experience delivering a dance program.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to members and participants.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-energy dance classes to children and teens.
• Plan and lead programs with a team approach.
• Supervise participants and support their physical, social, and emotional development.
• Ensure participant safety and address concerns, escalating as needed.
• Represent the YMCA mission and values in every interaction.
