Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in AIT and testing electronic systems.
  • Knowledge of Array Antenna and signal processing is favorable.

We’re on the hunt for a Satellite AIT System Engineer on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

The Satellite AIT System Engineer will be responsible for the Electrical system AIT design, performance analysis, Test Plans & Test Methods definitions, EGSEs definition, implementation and testing in support of MDA Telecommunication or remote Sensing satellites.

Tasks :

  • Define & Write engineering documentations: Test Plans, system test requirements, SOC, verification and validation matrix, design description, Test procedures
  • Participate in cross-functional teams
  • Production of relevant EGSE documentation, as needed
  • Satellite and payload assembly Integration and Test
  • Attend test reviews: TRR, TRB, DRB, and NCR’s
  • Support Satellite and payload testing: EGSE, Test supervision, data analysis, trending
  • Support Satellite tests at S/C supplier premises or selected Test house
  • Support In-Orbit Test (IOT)
  • Write up Payload Operations Manual

Required Qualifications :

  • Engineering degree in relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience in AIT, testing Electronic systems, communications and/or remote sensing satellites
  • The knowledge of Array Antenna with multiple active elements and knowledge of various modulation types, signal processing and Networking will be considered favorably.
  • English required, French fluency would be an asset
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as:
  • Performance Network analyzer
  • High sampling oscilloscope
  • Spectrum analyzer
  • Arbitrary waveform generator
  • Modems
  • Knowledge of Signal Processing theory
  • Knowledge/experience in the following programming languages:
  • MATLAB
  • Python
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as:
  • CANbus
  • SpaceWire
  • SPI serial link
  • Good personal, written and verbal communication skills

Comments/Special Considerations:

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
