Job description

Our Edmonton client is embarking on a large-scale ERP transformation initiative to modernize core finance, supply chain, and HR systems. They are seeking an experienced Software Tester for an initial 12-month contract to support this program by ensuring the quality and integrity of integrated enterprise solutions. If you have strong experience with SAP testing, REST APIs, and automated tools, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking, enterprise-class project.

Responsibilities

1. Review and provide input during requirements and design sessions
2. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts
3. Gather and manage test data and ensure proper test coverage
4. Log test results and analyze discrepancies or execution errors
5. Conduct REST API testing using Postman or similar tools
6. Track testing metrics and support defect lifecycle management
7. Collaborate closely with project teams using JIRA and Azure DevOps

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 5 years of relevant education and experience applicable to this role (degrees, diplomas, certificates)
• 3 years of experience as a software tester in a software application development environment (details required)
• 3 years of experience in writing test cases from design documents, business processes, architecture diagrams, and non-functional requirements
• 3 years of experience in preparing test data, executing tests, verifying results, and logging issues
• 3 years of understanding of Software QA, Testing, and the Defect Life Cycle
• 3 years of experience testing in integrated environments (details required)
• 3 years of experience performing integrations testing
• 5 years of experience testing REST APIs via Postman or similar tools
• 3 years of experience testing SAP applications and interfaces
• 3 years of experience working with JIRA and Azure DevOps
• Experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating, and providing test input during requirements gathering and detailed design specifications

Desirable Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience with various testing types including smoke, unit, system, regression, and UAT
• 3 years of experience testing web applications
• 4 years developing API test scripts in Postman
• 3 years of experience with data integrity standards
• 3 years with SQL scripting and MS SQL Server
• 2 years of experience with Agile methodology
