Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada seeks a Senior SAP GRC Security Consultant to lead the SAP GRC implementation for a major transformation. The role focuses on configuring ARM, ARA, EAM, BRM and integrating security across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and SAP Ariba.

The consultant will work with stakeholders, auditors, and project leadership, delivering secure SAP solutions throughout implementation, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

Location: Hybrid (Greater Toronto Area, ON)
Structure: 12-Month Contract
Compensation: Approximately $78/hr Pay (Flexible for the right candidate)

We have an exciting new opportunity to support one of our enterprise consumer products clients on a major SAP transformation initiative!

Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior SAP GRC Security Consultant to lead the implementation and configuration of SAP GRC while helping design and implement enterprise SAP Security across a complex SAP S/4HANA landscape.

This is not a production support or SAP Security administration role. The successful consultant will have proven experience delivering full-cycle SAP GRC implementations, designing enterprise security models, and partnering with business stakeholders, auditors, and project leadership throughout implementation, testing, and deployment.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of SAP Security and SAP GRC experience
• Hands-on experience implementing and configuring SAP GRC, including:
• Access Request Management (ARM)
• Access Risk Analysis (ARA)
• Emergency Access Management (EAM)
• Business Role Management (BRM)
• Extensive experience designing and implementing SAP Security within SAP S/4HANA environments
• Strong understanding of SAP Security architecture, including:
• Role Design
• Authorization Objects
• Access Strategy
• Experience implementing Identity Access Governance (IAG)
• Experience integrating SAP GRC with Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) processes
• Experience implementing security across SAP BTP and SAP Ariba
• Experience developing functional test scripts and supporting System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Strong understanding of controls integration, business risk management, and security governance
• Experience collaborating with Internal and External Audit teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership
• Must be comfortable working onsite in the Greater Toronto Area 2–3 days per week, with increased onsite presence during SIT/UAT.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP GRC solutions
• Configure ARM, ARA, EAM, and BRM modules
• Design enterprise SAP Security architecture for SAP S/4HANA
• Develop role concepts, authorization strategies, and Fiori security models
• Implement Identity Access Governance (IAG) and JML integration
• Configure security integrations across SAP BTP, SAP Ariba, and related SAP platforms
• Develop functional test scripts and support SIT and UAT activities
• Track, troubleshoot, and resolve security-related defects throughout implementation
• Partner with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to deliver secure SAP solutions
• Collaborate with Internal and External Audit teams to address security risks and compliance requirements
• Represent the Security team throughout the implementation lifecycle
• Provide guidance on best practices for SAP Security governance and enterprise access management
