Job description

Our client in the public sector is seeking an SAP PPM (Portfolio and Project Management) Consultant to support their SAP Implementation.

Location :

Mainly remote, with some hybrid work in the Kitchener / Waterloo area.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and implement SAP PPM modules, including Portfolio Management, Project Management, and Resource Management.
  • Collaborate with PMO, Finance, and departmental stakeholders to gather and validate requirements related to capital programs, grants, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Design and support portfolio structures, scoring models, approval workflows, and investment planning.
  • Integrate PPM with SAP modules such as PS (Project System), FI / CO, HR (for resource planning), and third-party project systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans, conduct system integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Assist in data migration and cleansing efforts related to project and portfolio data.
  • Support project governance, audit reporting, KPI dashboards, and continuous process improvements.
  • Prepare solution documentation, training materials, and deliver user training sessions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of SAP experience, with at least 3 years focused on SAP PPM and / or SAP PS.
  • Experience in public sector project governance, capital project planning, or grant funding programs.
  • Strong configuration skills in Portfolio Items, Decision Points, Buckets, Financial Planning, Project Templates, and Workflow Management.
  • Experience integrating PPM with SAP PS, FI / CO, and HR modules.
  • Familiarity with SAP S / 4HANA and Fiori apps related to project management is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
