SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant
12+Month Contract

Client is seeking a seasoned SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant to join the ERP Center of Excellence based in Montréal, Canada. As an expert in SAP MM, you will lead the design and delivery of procurement and inventory solutions across GE’s industrial and manufacturing businesses. You’ll collaborate with global teams, integrating SAP MM into GE’s broader supply chain and digital transformation strategies. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP MM (Materials Management) functionalities including:
  • Procurement (Purchasing, Source Lists, Info Records)
  • Inventory Management (Goods Movements, Reservations, Transfers)
  • Material Master, Vendor Master, Batch Management
  • Automatic Account Determination and Invoice Verification
• Conduct detailed requirement gathering, business process mapping, and fit-gap analysis.
• Integrate MM with SAP modules like SD, FI/CO, PP, and WM for seamless end-to-end processes.
• Drive the implementation and support of SAP S/4HANA in procurement and inventory functions.
• Participate in S/4HANA migrations and template rollouts across global GE sites.
• Prepare functional specifications for WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• Collaborate with business process owners, project teams, and offshore developers.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Support data migration, cutover planning, and hypercare post go-live.
• Deliver user training and prepare SOPs and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GE’s global audit, SOX, and procurement policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on SAP MM implementation and support experience.
• Minimum 1 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation in MM.
• Strong expertise in both procurement and inventory processes in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Integration knowledge with SAP FI (GR/IR clearing), WM, PP, and SD modules.
• Familiarity with indirect and direct procurement, subcontracting, and consignment processes.
• Fluency in English is required; French is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP S/4HANA certification in Materials Management.
• Experience in industrial sectors such as energy, aerospace, or grid solutions.
• Understanding of Ariba integration or supplier collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodology.
• Bilingual: French and English (strongly preferred for Québec-based roles).
