Job summary

Ampstek is seeking an experienced SAP MDG Consultant to lead and execute MDG activities across a global template. The role spans fit-gap, localization, configuration & integration, data migration, cutover, and hyper-care, working with business SMEs, product owners, and technical teams.

You will contribute to MDG data modeling, UI configuration, governance, BRF+ rules maintenance, and Fiori-based MDG apps while ensuring data quality and governance across multi-country deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong MDG integration with ECC/S/4, Data Services, and Information Steward.
• Experience with requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design.
• Experience with integration testing, defect handling, SIT/UAT.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on SAP MDG workflow configuration, rule-based workflows, change requests, validations, and derivations.
• Strong understanding of SAP BP concepts and MDG-ECC/S/4HANA synchronization.
• Experience with Data Replication Framework and master data replication across systems.
• MDG data modeling, UI configuration, governance processes, BRF+ rules maintenance.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications for MDG and user adoption/support.
• Data quality management, cleansing, enrichment, and governance best practices.
• Master data lifecycle management and stewardship governance frameworks.
• Support data migration activities including profiling, cleansing, mock loads, and production cutover.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: business, technical, integration, data owners.
• Experience with global template rollouts, localization projects, and multi-country deployments.
• Knowledge of SAP Activate, Agile, and project governance standards.
• Understanding of SoD within MDG.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable MDG solutions and specs.
• Defect management, root cause analysis, and hypercare during go-live.

Job description

We are looking for an SAP MDG Consultant to lead and execute MDG related activities based on an existing global

template. The role spans fit-gap, localization, configuration & integration, data migration, cutover, and hyper-care,

working closely with business SMEs, product owners, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Hands-on experience with SAP MDG workflow configuration, rule-based workflows, change requests,

validations, and derivations.

Strong understanding of SAP Business Partner (BP) concepts and synchronization between MDG and

ECC/S/4HANA.

Experience with Data Replication Framework (DRF) and replication of master data across connected

systems.

Knowledge of MDG Data Modeling, UI Configuration, Governance Processes, and BRF+ rules maintenance.

Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications for MDG and user adoption/support activities.

Experience with data quality management, data cleansing, enrichment, and governance best practices.

Strong understanding of master data lifecycle management, stewardship processes, and governance

frameworks.

Proven experience supporting data migration activities, including data profiling, cleansing, validation, mock

loads, and production cutover.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, technical

developers, integration consultants, and data owners.

Experience working in global template rollouts, localization projects, and multi-country deployments.

Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology, Agile delivery practices, and project governance standards.

Understanding of authorization concepts, security roles, and segregation of duties (SoD) within MDG

Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable MDG solutions and

functional specifications.

Experience in defect management, root cause analysis, and hypercare support during go-live and post-

production phases.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and presentation skills.

Experience in creating and delivering end-user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and support

documentation.

Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Migration or Transformation programs involving enterprise-wide master data

governance initiatives.

SAP MDG certification and/or SAP S/4HANA certifications are highly desirable.

Skills

Strong SAP MDG functional expertise across Customer, Vendor, Material, and Finance domains (C/V/M/F).

Solid understanding of MDG integration with ECC/S/4, Data Services, and Information Steward.

Proven capability in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design aligned to client scope.

Experience in integration testing, defect handling, and supporting SIT/UAT activities.

Strong documentation and delivery skills, including BBP, functional specs, configuration, and training materials.
