Job summary

Nexans seeks a SAP Manufacturing Consultant – PP/APO (ECC6 & S/4HANA) to join our global IT team in Canada. You will design, implement, and support SAP manufacturing solutions for a cable industry, collaborating with cross‑functional and international teams to optimize production planning and order execution.

Required 2+ years of SAP PP/APO experience, knowledge of ECC6/SAP S/4HANA, and an engineering/IT degree. Hybrid work in Canada with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of strong expertise in SAP PP (Production Planning) and APO
• Solid understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes (MRP, production orders, capacity planning, shop floor control)
• Working knowledge of PP/DS in APO
• Knowledge of cable industry specifics (drums, lengths, batch management) is a strong plus

As a SAP Manufacturing Consultant – PP/APO (ECC6 & S/HANA), you will report directly to the SAP Manufacturing Team – Core IT Manager in the Corporate IT function.

This role will operate in a worldwide environment, maintaining a global SAP ECC6 system Core model for the North America Power Grid & Connect Business Group.

GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION

The SAP Manufacturing Consultant – PP/APO (ECC6 & S/HANA) will be involved in both application maintenance and future local deployments, working in a global environment and collaborating with international teams. This role will be key in designing, implementing, and enhancing manufacturing solutions adapted to complex cable-related processes.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE ?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field
• 2+ years of strong expertise in SAP PP (Production Planning) and APO
• Proven experience with SAP ECC6/APO and/or SAP S/4HANA
• Solid understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes (MRP, production orders, capacity planning, shop floor control)
• Working knowledge of PP/DS in APO
• Ability to write clear and structured functional specifications
• Working knowledge of SAP QM (Quality Management) and/or SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) is highly desirable
• Knowledge of cable industry specifics (drums, lengths, batch management) is a strong plus
