Job description

We have an exciting 1 year contract opportunity for a SAP HR / Payroll Solution Architect in Toronto.

This is a hybrid role (2-3 days Per week Onsite).

Must haves :

  • Minimum 15 years of SAP Payroll, HR, Organizational Management, Personnel Administration, Time Management with Canadian Payroll experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years developing HR / Payroll solution architecture for end-to-end business solutions with SuccessFactors, BusinessSuite on HANA and S / 4HANA using Dell Boomi integration.
  • Certification in SAP ECC 6.0 or higher with Human Resources.

Role (Specialist Type) / Service : SAP HR / Payroll Solution Architect

Anticipated Duration (weeks) : 52 weeks

1.0 Description of Assignment :

  • The client is initiating a major program to modernize the business implementing an Enterprise Time and Attendance solution. This includes the integration with SuccessFactors, BusinessSuite on HANA Payroll and other client’s systems.
  • This role is to provide the client’s project payroll and IT team with business solution architecture leadership to align the future time and attendance solution with the existing SAP solution suite at the client’s for the end-to-end solution.
  • The role requires specific knowledge with the following : Dell Boomi integration between SuccessFactors and BusinessSuite on HANA (Payroll), SuccessFactors Employee Central, Recruiting and Onboarding.
  • The candidate will be required to work at 250 Bloor St E on a hybrid model (2-3 days per week on site).

2.0 Skills and Certifications :

  • Minimum 15 years of SAP Payroll, HR, Organizational Management, Personnel Administration, Time Management with Canadian Payroll experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years developing HR / Payroll solution architecture for end-to-end business solutions with SuccessFactors, BusinessSuite on HANA and S / 4HANA using Dell Boomi integration.
  • Certification in SAP ECC 6.0 or higher with Human Resources.
  • Certification with SuccessFactors Employee Central. SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll would be an asset.
  • Experience implementing SAP HR / Payroll including the Canadian public sector payroll schema for a unionized environment.
  • Expert knowledge (end-user and configuration) of SAP HR / Payroll including payroll wage types, features, schemas and rules, 3rd party payments, tax reporting, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP HR on-premise Business Suite payroll configuration.
  • Experience with Dell Boomi integration between SuccessFactors (Employee Central) and BusinessSuite on HANA HR / Payroll info types including mapping rules and troubleshooting business issues.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central and Recruiting and Onboarding.
  • Expert knowledge integrating SAP Payroll with non-SAP systems including costing systems, time systems, and work management (maintenance) systems.
  • Experience with data migration from legacy systems to SAP including data transformation and cleansing from source to target in multiple projects.
  • Experience integrating Payroll to SAP S / 4HANA posting to Finance and experience working with the HR Mini Master.
  • Professional HR designation is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and documentation skills with solution architecture, solution design to-be documents and other typical project implementation artifacts.
  • Transit agency experience is an asset.

3.0 Assignment Duties :

  • Lead and document the solution architecture of the HR, Payroll and integrated business processes for the SAP and non-SAP end to end business processes including exception handling.
  • Lead and document the solution process design to include client’s business rules, processes, security roles, master / transactional data, error / exception handling.
  • Lead and document the data migration from legacy systems to SAP including data extract, transform, load, cleanse and reconciliation.
  • Align the solution architecture with the client’s Enterprise Architecture ITS standard and practices.
  • Lead and document the analysis with the business HR and Payroll team for process improvements and define areas for improvement and the benefits of these improvements.
  • Lead and document the SAP Payroll, S / 4HANA, SuccessFactors architecture including non-SAP systems.
  • Lead and document the SAP functionality (HR and Payroll) based on expert knowledge of HR and Payroll best practices and industry trends.
  • Lead and document the analysis with the business of the end to end time process impacts related to the operator process integration with the new SAP processes.
  • Participate in the deployment of the new business processes within the HR and Payroll areas.
  • Provide input to all aspects of project planning.
  • Provide guidance and support to key business stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to the change management plan.
  • Review and provide recommendations to cutover strategies, plans and deployments.
  • Review and provide recommendations to testing strategies, plans and deployments.
  • Review and provide recommendations to training strategies, plans and deployments.
  • Knowledge transfer to the TTC HR, Payroll and IT teams.
