Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Functional Consultant with a strong background in the banking industry for a contract opportunity. This role will support various SAP and non-SAP system initiatives, acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have deep SAP S / 4HANA Finance expertise, experience with SAP MDG, and a strong grasp of enterprise data structures, including integration with upstream and downstream systems.

Key Responsibilies :

• Analyze system defects and recommend effective solutions or alternatives.
• Understand and interpret business requirements, translating them into functional specifications.
• Propose technical solutions in collaboration with technology partners and assess their pros and cons.
• Leverage SAP functional design capabilities to meet business needs.
• Manage relationships with vendors, including software and service providers.
• Act as the main point of contact between Business and Technology teams.
• Serve as a subject matter advisor for business processes and collaborate with process owners.
• Ensure effective communication and expectation management with stakeholders.
• Analyze change impacts and risks, recommending mitigation strategies.
• Support multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality delivery.

Qualifications & Skills :

• 8+ years of experience in project environments, including SAP projects in the banking domain.
• Solid understanding of systems development and testing life cycles.
• Functional expertise in SAP, particularly S / 4HANA Finance and associated modules.
• Experience in production support roles, especially error handling.
• Familiarity with cloud-based applications and end-to-end system design.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP MDG (configuration, master data modeling, workflow).
• Understanding of GL accounting (S / 4HANA GL & AR), including multi-ledger / multi-currency and ADB.
• Experience with SAP security roles, data quality frameworks, and system integration with non-SAP platforms.
• Functional knowledge of enterprise data structures and chart of accounts in S / 4HANA.

Nice to Have :

• Experience with financial close, consolidation, and elimination processes in S / 4HANA Group Reporting.
• Knowledge of FPSL (Financial Products Subledger) and its role in banking product subledger accounting.
• Familiarity with Fiori, SAC, and CDS Views for financial reporting.
• Understanding of Expense Ledger (AP, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting), Internal Orders, and PAPM.
