Job description

Senior SAP FICO Functional Consultant

We are seeking a senior SAP FICO functional consultant for a 12‑month contract (6+6 months) starting in January.

This hybrid role will require 2 days onsite per week in Toronto to support the transition to S/4HANA by providing daily support, solving tickets, working with business users, troubleshooting, triage, and general problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support the SAP Finance team by providing SAP knowledge, expertise, and leadership.
• Lead Finance process project related activities.
• Analyze processes and identify areas of improvement and how these can be addressed leveraging standard SAP functionality.
• Identify linkages to other key processes to support reporting (e.g., budgeting).
• Collaborate with the Business Process Lead and vendor lead to inform the design, development, and configuration of the SAP solution and its integration with SAP and non‑SAP solutions.
• Support the testing cycles.
• Participate in all phases and relevant work streams of the project, including project planning, change management, communications, testing, training, Go‑Live and post‑Go‑Live support activities.
• Deliver process designs, requirements, and fit/gap analysis.
• Help validate proposed functionality and alignment to design with the Integrator and provide best‑practice guidance.
• Provide leadership of business processes, accounting principles, systems configuration, enhancements, and data to enable related processes.
