In this role, you'll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), delivering deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients globally. These centers provide local skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and technology adoption.

Position: Senior SAP FI Consultant

Responsible for providing expertise in implementing, configuring, and maintaining SAP FI modules to optimize client financial processes. The role involves understanding client financial requirements, analyzing existing systems, and recommending solutions using SAP FI modules such as GL, Asset, Accounts Payables, and Accounts Receivables.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, customize configurations, and conduct testing. Must be located on-site at IBM office in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
  • Develop and document SAP functional, business, and system requirements specifications.
  • Develop and document screen, report, and interface requirements in SAP.
  • Design methods and procedures for SAP modules integrated within a solution.
  • Gather and analyze information to establish system needs.
  • Design and implement changes to SAP modules.
  • At least 5 years of in-depth knowledge of SAP General Ledger (GL) and Cost Center Accounting (CCA).
  • At least 3 years of experience with SAP Product Costing, Materials Ledger, and Controlling Profit Analysis (COPA).
  • Experience with manufacturing costing & cost sheet.
  • End-to-End SAP Project Implementation experience as a FICO consultant.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Prior employment with a consulting firm as a SAP FICO Consultant is advantageous.
  • Experience with S4 Hana.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
  • Document forms, manuals, programs, interfaces, release notes, data files, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Analyze data conversion requirements and strategies.
  • Support SAP Service Marketplace Support Portal notes for problem and change analysis.
  • Assist Business Analysts in requirements workshops.
  • Provide ongoing knowledge transfer to departmental personnel.
