We have an exciting 3-year contract opportunity for a Senior SAP Data Lead consultant in Toronto, ON.
This is a hybrid role (2 days onsite and the rest remote).

Must haves:

1. Proven experience (at least 5 years) in leading data migration on large SAP projects.
2. Experience in Azure Data warehouse solutions.
3. Experience working with SAP ECC, SAP SuccessFactors, and Workforce.
4. Strong knowledge of data ETL methodologies with practical experience in tracking problems and defects, documenting data strategy.
5. Hands-on experience working with SAP, Windows and Unix operating systems, Crystal Reports, Business Objects Enterprise, MS SQL, and Oracle database systems.

Role (Specialist Type) / Service: SAP Data Lead

Anticipated Duration (weeks): 156 weeks

1. Description of Assignment

1. The Data Lead is responsible for the identification, extraction, staging, cleansing, migration, and validation of relevant data for the end-to-end process.
2. The Data Lead coordinates multiple mock data exercises and cutovers to ensure data quality and consistency.
3. The Data Lead coordinates with the SMEs and business stakeholders to identify relevant test data to ensure that the testing is comprehensive from a data perspective and addresses all possible scenarios/exceptions.
4. The Resource will be required to work 2 days onsite and 3 days remotely.

2.0 Skills and Certifications

1. Proven experience (at least 5 years) in leading data migration on large SAP projects.
2. Experience in Azure Data warehouse solutions.
3. Experience working with SAP ECC, SAP SuccessFactors, and Workforce.
4. Experience in working with the project team: project manager, business analysts, solution architects, system designers, developers, testers, release managers, system administrators.
5. Strong analytical skills and broad knowledge of different system architectures.
6. Major IT implementation experience and understanding how systems are affected by business process change.
7. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and problem-solving ability.
8. Completion of a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Engineering, or the equivalent, combined with several years of quality assurance/testing experience in the client-server environment.
9. Strong knowledge of data ETL methodologies with practical experience in tracking problems and defects, documenting data strategy.
10. Thorough understanding of Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture, and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).
11. Hands-on experience working with SAP, Windows and Unix operating systems, Crystal Reports, Business Objects Enterprise, MS SQL, and Oracle database systems.
12. Ability to assume a lead role that includes technical consultation, team guidance, and following through on delivery.
13. Ability to successfully monitor changes and ensure corrective action is taken when necessary.
14. Effective team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
15. Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees based on AODA recommended standards.

Certifications:

1. Post-secondary education in a related discipline.
2. SAP certification is an asset.

3.0 Assignment Duties:

1. Lead and manage end-to-end data migration and integration data objects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and SAP/WFS implementation strategies.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to define data migration requirements, scope, and timelines, and deliver quality documents based on the Project deliverables.
3. Utilize tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes and ensure accurate and efficient data migration.
4. Familiarize with the SAP solutions and processes and Data migration activities.
5. Develop and implement data migration plans, including data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes.
6. Conduct data profiling and analysis to assess data quality and identify issues before migration.
7. Coordinate with WFS and SAP functional and technical teams to design and optimize data migration processes.
8. Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices for data migration tools.
9. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and regularly update stakeholders on status and challenges. Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards throughout the migration process: document data migration processes, methodologies, and lessons learned for future reference.
10. Participate in the deployment of the new business processes including end-user training and transition to TTC support Team.
11. Prepare and maintain associated project documentation as necessary.
12. Work closely with end users to ensure a common understanding of day-to-day processes.
13. Prepare and maintain SAP business process documentation as necessary.
14. Review all process documentation to identify areas for improvement and flag all possible risks.
15. Other project duties as assigned.
