SAP DATA ARCHIVING CONSULTANT

We are supporting a global manufacturing organization undergoing plant closures in Europe and Mexico. As part of this transition, they are seeking an experienced SAP Archiving Consultant to assist with the secure and compliant extraction and storage of historical SAP data.

This is a part-time contract opportunity (~ 10-20 hours/week to start), ideal for someone with deep SAP archiving experience looking for flexible engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the archival of SAP data (documents, reports, transactional records) related to two decommissioned plants
• Advise on archiving strategy in preparation for full SAP system decommissioning
• Work with internal stakeholders to assess data retention requirements and ensure compliance
• Recommend and configure third-party archiving tools such as OpenText
• Ensure archived data is accessible post-SAP shutdown

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with SAP data archiving projects (ECC or S/4HANA)
• Familiarity with third-party archiving platforms such as OpenText
• Ability to work independently and provide strategic recommendations
• Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across global teams
• Availability to begin in late July or early August

Details:

• Start: Late July / Early August
• Location: Remote (North America or Europe preferred)
• Engagement: Part-time contract, ~ 10-20 hours/week
• Duration: Expected to last through key phases of decommissioning
