Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. is seeking an experienced software architect/engineer in Mississauga with strong ecommerce and cloud-native expertise. You will work across SAP Commerce Cloud, Magento, Mirakl, and Punchouts, shaping backend tech choices and scalable architectures.

The role requires deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and API approaches (REST/GraphQL) with a focus on quality, testing frameworks, and observability.

Qualifications

• Extensive ecommerce experience and the latest capabilities in the space.
• Exposure to major ecommerce platforms (SAP Commerce Cloud, Magento, Mirakl, Punchouts).
• Expert knowledge of backend technologies and how to maximize them, including SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP S4, Elasticsearch/Solr, Redis, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for strong quality controls including unit, integration, and acceptance testing frameworks.
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; Google Cloud, AWS) and cloud-native methodologies.
• Design and implement containerized microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and event-driven architectures; apply observability and distributed tracing.
