Job summary

Ifg Global in Toronto is seeking an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Functional Business Analyst to join our client's team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of SAP PM experience, hands-on configuration skills, and deep knowledge of maintenance processes including notifications, orders, preventive maintenance, planning and scheduling. This hybrid role requires on-site work 3 days per week in Toronto.

Job description

Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Functional Business Analyst to join their team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience working with SAP Plant Maintenance with strong hands-on SAP PM functional configuration experience, as well as experience working in a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, SAP Consultant, or similar role, and possesses strong knowledge of end-to-end maintenance business processes, including maintenance notifications, maintenance orders, preventive maintenance, maintenance planning, maintenance scheduling, maintenance plans, task lists, and equipment and functional locations. This is a hybrid role that requires working on-site 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Maintenance, Operations, and business stakeholders to understand maintenance processes and business requirements.
• Analyze current-state maintenance processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and SAP optimization.
• Support the design and implementation of future-state maintenance processes.
• Provide hands‑on functional expertise and configuration within SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Support the full maintenance lifecycle, including: Maintenance planning, Maintenance scheduling, Maintenance execution, Notifications.
• Work orders, Preventive maintenance, Maintenance plans, Task lists.
• Translate business requirements into SAP functional solutions.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements and validate proposed solutions.
• Support SAP configuration, enhancements, testing, and deployment activities.
• Develop functional specifications and work closely with technical teams where custom development or integration is required.
• Participate in data cleanup, governance, and process standardization initiatives.
• Support unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
• Develop process documentation and support training and change management activities.
• Help standardize maintenance processes across multiple sites and geographies.
• Stay current on evolving SAP capabilities, including emerging intelligent, AI‑enabled, and autonomous maintenance capabilities available within the SAP ecosystem.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and modern SAP Private Cloud environments.
• Mining, industrial, manufacturing, utilities, energy, or other asset‑intensive industry experience.
• Experience integrating SAP PM with related SAP modules such as: Materials Management (MM) Finance (FI/CO) Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Experience with SAP Signavio or business process analysis tools.
• French and English bilingualism is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting multi‑site or geographically distributed operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Plant Maintenance, Operations Management, or related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
